Maria Chavez Stylist for Fulani

Model: Jillian Gallagher
Stylist: Maria Chavez
MUA: Daniela Rodriguez

I'm so excited to finally receive the final shots for the photoshoot I was invited to style for.
This time, I had the super fun opportunity to work with a great team of ladies and of course a little fellow named Hunter. He was a sweat heart!
The project was for Fulani, a handbags and accessories company coming up with a collection that you should definitely check it out.

The shoot was inspired in a city girl and her troublemaker dog around the big busy island of manhattan.
We experience some challenges working with Hunter but he is indeed a superstar!

I will be posting more pictures of the photoshoot. I cannot wait to share them all!

Please take some time to visit the official websites for all the people who collaborated on this project :)

Love,

Avocado chicken tacos

Nom nom! So lately I have been craving a lot of avocado so I thought of a salad and then I said "well, guacamole is like a salad, right?" But then I wanted to have some consistency and then the no brainer pop in my mind: shredded chicken!

Yes! Add shredded chicken, heat up some tortillas and there you have the most refreshing avocado chicken tacos!

- 1 chicken breast
- 1 avocado
- 3/4 cup minced tomatoe
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- salt & pepper
- 8 tortillas

The secret to make it extra fresh and with extra love is to actually BOIL the chicken! Don't buy it already cook! No no no. I say this because my boyfriend asked for the recipe and he went to the store and bought rotisserie chicken. Ay ay ay! It's very simple, boil the chicken breast for 15 minutes, take it out, let it cool off and shred it, mix with the rest of the ingredients (except the tortillas of course)
Let it sit for a bit while you hit up the tortilla on a pan or straight on the fire to give it a smoky flavor.

So easy and cheap!
Great for a quick bite, host a party, impress your boyfriend. Seriously who doesn't like guacamole with chicken! ;)

Raspberry pineapple smoothie

t's Friday! And what a better way to start the day than with a summery smoothie.

I have literally just came up with it but I'm sure there most be some versions of it out there. Anyway here is my recipe.

- handful of spinach
- 1/2 cup chunks of pineapple
- handful of raspberries
- 1 tablespoon of coconut flakes
- 1/3 cup of almond milk
- 1 cup of ice cubs

Blend them all together selecting the "smoothie" option for 3 min or until everything is nicely blended and done!

This is definitely a winner!

Enjoy your weekend!

Camouflage jackets

How many of you are fans of camouflage jackets? To be honest, I used to go back and forth about them until I found what is now my favorite rain coat.

This amazing hooded parka is from Topshop. It has an amazing cut, a little bit in the long side right under the knee and the print on the super soft fabric is just sick! You can't imagine how many compliments I have received from this jacket.

It has two snaps on the back that help you make it a little longer or shorter for that fishtail look that you might want to pull off.

And of course, two adjustable strings on the waist and two at the end of the jacket to make it tighter or looser.

Trust me, run to your closest Topshop and get it now before they sold out! They have it in a khaki color too if you are uncertain about this print.

Beware! It runs a little big so try a size smaller of what you usually ware.
